Black History Month author: Rosamund Elwin

One of the most prolific authors for Women’s Press in the eighties and nineties was Rosamund Elwin. Whether coauthoring Asha’s Mums, a landmark children’s story that demystifies lesbian parenting for young Asha’s teacher and classmates, or gathering the honest and eloquent stories of Tongues on Fire: Caribbean Lesbian Lives and Stories, or anthologizing the steamy Getting Wet: Tales of Lesbian Seductions, Ms Elwin has made important contributions to the body of work by lesbian women in Canada.
